What'cha Working on Wednesday?

It's a cold day in the Dakotas...
21 degrees below zero this morning.
I was in the mood for a cozy project this evening.

Isn't this yarn luxurious?
I purchased it at Betty's Loft.
She lives in my neighborhood and I can walk to her house.
You can buy yarn from Betty in her Etsy Shop.

Do you all knit 'in the round'?
With circular needles??
I am experimenting with another pattern.

This was my first attempt.
I am not completely happy...but the yarn had some irregularities...
and I'm not comfortable selling something that doesn't meet my standards.
But...I do love the color!

This cowl is listed in my Etsy shop.
I purchased the yarn from Betty...
...And used one of Betty's patterns.

What are you working on today?

Take care,
~Natalie

One of these days, I'm going to learn how to knit. My grandmothers both tried to teach me and both ended declaring I had two left thumbs! I know how to crochet but have little time to practice it these days. Today, I worked on my classes, collaborated with other professors, and worked with the cats. :D Typically boring...LOL

Oh wow, I NEED some really big circular needles. These look like something I am going to NEED to make...where is that 40% JoAnn's coupon?

Hello Natalie wow that is COLD!!

Beautiful scarves, I do not knit and knowing that I do sew and create this may sound a bit funny, but if you would see me try to knit you would laugh so hard. I can not function both of my hands with needles LOL it is a mess I have tried several times. I love to crochet and come to think of it have not done that in a long time.
LOVE the yarns you used. I am simply working on getting myself well again so I can create some new items. Hugs
STAY warm

21 below zero is brutally cold!

Your cowls are gorgeous! The yarn looks so soft and comfortable.

I don't knit, although I wish I knew how. My grandma was a wonderful knitter. She made beautiful sweaters for me when I was little. I tried to learn from a book, once, but it didn't go well.

As for what I'm working on today, catching up on laundry and paying bills. I'm not looking forward to doing either task!!

Well, your temps make our 1 degree sound warm! I absolutely Love that yarn you are working with! Thank you for the link to Betty's shop. I wish I could walk to her house! I have a feeling I would be going a lot! I always use circular needles, but have not knitted in the round. I need to give it a try cause I know it would be great. Your cowls are so beautiful. I just finished a lapghan for my daughter and will be working on a baktus scarf today. Have a nice day! Twyla

It was 21 ABOVE zero here in NE Oklahoma yesterday. Colder today I'm told but I haven't opened the door to check. I'm not a great knitter so I admire anyone who does knit. I scrapbooked with friends yesterday. Stay warm!

Gosh, Natalie..I can't believe how many different "hats" you wear in creating! You even knit! And just beautifully, too..something I never learned to do. I don't think I have the patience for it. Your cowls are lovely..looks like it's a good thing you have your first one to use yourself with temps like that. Stay warm!

Well, I'm a little late as it's Sunday, but I've been making flat marble magnets this weekend. Fun and fast!
