So Easy a Cave Woman Could Do It

I would like you to know that I now know how to
assemble a shower chair,
and install a toilet seat riser with grab bars.
It was so easy...It was a snap...
Literally...it just snaps together and it's ready to use.

Due to her decreased vision and decreased balance,
Mom has orders to not reach up, or bend down to get things.
All of the clutter is removed and her Daily Use Items are now at waist-height.
These shelves on her kitchen counter will allow her to have things at her fingertips.
Oh...it appears that the entrance ramp will be built today.
The materials are here.
The equipment is here.
But...where are the contractors??

Isn't it wonderful that we can buy things that make life for those we love so much easier! She will do so well!

Natalie, it appears that you are a woman on a mission. You have wasted NO time getting everything taken care of for Mom.
So, is she happy to be staying at home??? I hope so.
Hugs, Suz

You are doing a wonderful job getting things ready for your Mom. I hope she is feeling much better soon and able to come home and enjoy being in her own place.

It's amazing the things we learn to do as our parents age. Sounds like she is in very good hands! Just be sure to make some time for Natalie :)

Looks like things are progressing along nicely for your mom's return to independence. As for the contractors....getting them to show up is half the battle, the other half will be getting the job finished on time.

Things are shaping up quickly! Just having places to hang on makes a big difference. I have a ramp to my front door too.

We've had to do something similar for my husband's mother--install things that would make her able to stay at home after she had a bad fall. Despite all the warnings and several close falls, she won't give up her throw rugs...in fact she bought more! I'm glad things are working out for you and your mother!
