We had the privilege of attending the pregame luncheon and rally for the NDSU Lacrosse Team.
Hubby and I filled in as substitute parents for Jake and his roommate.
(Jake's parents live in Washington, his roommate is from Wisconsin.)
Jake welcomed the gathering of players, family, and friends and he introduced one of the team's founders and assistant coaches, who gave an impromptu speech.
(Which, I might add, would make any senior's mother dab a tear or two.)
Here, the team warms up on Dakota Field.
The snow had been cleared but the turf appeared to still be a bit slick.
#5 waits to take the field.
It was a cold, crisp night...
But the Bison were hot...beating the defending national champions, St. Johns University, in a sudden death overtime.
The score...7 to 6.
There was much celebration on the field...
What a great way to finish your season at home.
Congratulations, Jake.
Now...Let's do it again today!
Game's at 10 a.m.
Take care,
~Natalie
