Nellie's First Thanksgiving and Black Friday Shopping

Thanksgiving favorite holiday!
It's all about family, traditions, good food, and giving thanks.
(pretty Thanksgiving napkins from Amy...thanks, honey)

Nellie took charge of cooking the cranberry sauce,
while enjoying the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Our family gathered around the table to give thanks
and enjoy many of our favorite holiday foods.

Elegant Broccoli Salad, Amy and Emily's favorite.
We serve it for every holiday.

Cranberry sauce...Mashed Potatoes and Gravy...

Candied Sweet Potatoes and of course, the Turkey!

Another family tradition...
Black Friday Shopping!
We 'girls' usually get up and leave the house early...

It was dark outside the mall...

...but, there was plenty of bright Christmas cheer inside the mall!

And, another Black Friday Family Tradition...
...meeting the guy(s) for lunch to watch the Husker Football game!

I suppose you wonder if we found any good Black Friday deals...
I hope this answers your question!
Christmas presents for Denmark!

And are you wondering about Nellie's favorite food
on the Thanksgiving menu?

Apple Pie...
she can eat it for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

I hope you are all enjoying this Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends.

Take care,

Ahh, how wonderful! It's so good to see you Natalie. Is it Denmark where the Danes come from? That's so interesting to have different cultures around us in the US.

It's fun to share this holiday with people who are new to the traditions. Looks like you had a nice Thanksgiving!
