Celebrating the Boy that Named Me Gigi ~Here’s How We Partied

It’s Birthday Week and we’ve been Celebrating all Week long.
Meet the boy that made us grandparents…
That makes him quite special.

We met when he was a newborn.
The Seawall in Okinawa is a beautiful place, but nothing tops
the beautiful experience of meeting a grandchild for the first time.

I was beyond blessed to travel back to
Okinawa the following year…

And spend Mother’s Day with him, our daughter, and son-in-law.

The family moved back state-side when he was two.
I traveled to MA to help with childcare while his parents
were training for their new positions.

When Jack was three, we celebrated my birthday together
with our favorite flavors of ice cream.

This is the year I showed him how to sew on a button.

At four years old he had a little brother.
Papa and I stayed with them while their parents took
a Weekend Trip for their anniversary.

At age five, we saw him off to preschool every morning.

And now he’s six, a kind and thoughtful young man.
The celebrations started on Saturday, with his friends’ party.
Remember he wanted to wait for us to open those gifts.

On his actual Birthday, we went out to celebrate.

We enjoyed walking around the shops in the City Center.

Jack was born on the First Day of Spring…
This year it was another beautiful day to
enjoy the time together outdoors.

Last night we celebrated some more with the whole family.
Daddy prepared his favorite dinner, Pasta Carbonara.

Jack opened more gifts from family as little brother looks on.

🎶 Happy Birthday to You 🎶

Here’s to being Six!
We love you and are so proud of you.
Papa and Gigi

Take care,
~Natalie
