Mother’s Day Eve
Amy made arrangements for one of
Jack’s babysitters to come to the house.
She and I were going out
for some special Mother Daughter Time...
This is their preferred place to go for Sushi.
It was a quick taxi ride to the sea wall.
The evening was young,
so we enjoyed the view and a beverage
on the upper patio of the Sea Garden.
It was promising to be a beautiful sunset.
It was a block back to the Sushi Zen.
Since it was just the two of us, we could sit at the bar to visit
and to watch the Sushi chef at work.
We ordered two of Amy’s favorites,
the Alaskan Salmon and Avocado.
And the Spicy Tuna.
The Tuna and the Salmon is as fresh as you’ll get anywhere!
Once plated, Sushi is really a work of art.
This outstanding chef has worked in various US cities.
He is the only chef on staff here and is organized and efficient.
It was truly fun to watch.
I chose our third order...The Boston Shrimp and Avocado.
Yummy!
We were there as he was cleaning up his work space.
He was so pleased to share a sample of fresh Blue Fin Tuna,
just caught that very morning...
...With just a touch of Wasabi it was absolutely delicious.
We taxied home and there we pre-prepped
our Mother’s Day brunch dish for the morning.
Thank you, Amy, for a delightful evening.
We are blessed.
Take care,
~Natalie
