🎶 On the Road Again 🎶
These Seniors need to get out of the car to
stretch our legs and get some steps every few hours.
The fresh air and warm sunshine
lifts our spirits, too.
Over the Ohio River.
We had checked the Weather App for the cities along our route.
With a forecast of freezing rain and snow closer to home,
we could dawdle no more.
The Interstate took us into Ohio for about five minutes…
That means we traveled through a dozen states all together.
South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama,
Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
Hubby drove a total of 3375 miles round trip.
The 5th Avenue Grill in Beach Grove, Indiana,
was the site for our midday lunch break.
Hubby ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger.
The half pound Patty topped with Bacon, Sautéed Onions,
Smoked Gouda Cheese, and House-made Bourbon Bacon Jam.
Hubby shared a little slice of the tasty Burger
to go with my side salad.
We were making good time.
We check into our hotel, then find a place to have a beverage,
and share an appetizer. Aren’t these Nachos pretty?
The Mississippi River.
It was a beautiful sunny morning for our last day of travel.
This is what it looked like in our home state.
This is what it looked like when we got out of the car at home.
And the forecast was for more snow.
Take care,
~Natalie
