Spending Time with Friends ~Meeting Baby Ava ~Good Food ~Outdoor Concert Fun ~What a Show

These special friends…We share more than
forty years of making sweet memories together.
And this time was no different.

You may remember that they are new grandparents.
We were thrilled to meet that adorable baby.
Only two weeks old, and oh my, she is so sweet.

Of course, we got to see the parents, too.
The new family is doing very well.

Ashley posted this professional photo recently.

We grandparents had plans to go out for
Dinner and a Concert.
The Tavern Grill has a tasty, creative menu.

This is the All Thai’d Up Salad

Crispy sesame chicken stix, cut and tossed in Thai Peanut sauce then served

over a bed of iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, pea pods, cilantro, cucumbers,

and mandarin oranges tossed in Sesame Lime dressing.

Finished with crispy wontons and julienned scallions.

The Tavern Brie Pizza
Artisan crust brushed with a Brie spread.
Topped with mozzarella, shaved prosciutto ham, fire roasted artichoke,
roasted tomato balsamic red onion jam, and basil chiffonade.

The Tavern Style Burger
A half-pound fresh Angus beef seasoned and grilled to perfection.
Topped with Bourbon Red BBQ, smoked Gouda, and crispy smoked bacon.
Served on a grilled stadium bun with shredded lettuce and garlic aioli.
Yes,  Hubby ordered the Burger as he continues his quest
to find the Best Burger in the Country.

The Shuttle took us to Bluestem Amphitheatre in Moorhead,
for the Chicago Concert.

We had seats..in..the..second..row.
Thank you, Alan, for securing those tickets.
It felt like we were on stage, and a part of the show.

They played all the songs we knew, some of them twice.
And we knew all of their Hits.
This is their 56th consecutive year of touring…

And three of the musicians have been part of
the band from the Beginning.
The two guys up front, and the one behind them
on the keyboard are the originals.

Since they started at age 19, that makes them about 75 years old.
They put on such an energetic show.

This report is overdue, as the concert was a couple of weeks ago.
However, it was all so fabulous,
I feel like it just happened yesterday.

Take care,
~Natalie
