Crock Pot Pizza

I just really hate to turn the oven on in the summer...hmmm...air conditioning cools the house....oven makes it hot in the house....

Today, we need a meal where the serve time is flexible, since our lifeguard daughter doesn't know definately when her supper break will be. So...this is what I put together for tonight (or late afternoon!)

Crock Pot Pizza
1 lb. hamburger
1 pkg. sliced pepperoni
1 pkg. pizza style canadian bacon
16 oz. cheese, I used mozzerella, asiago, and parmesan
1/2 onion, chopped
1 box pasta, rigatoni or mostaccioli, cooked
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms
2 jars pizza sauce
Brown hamburger and drain off the grease. Brown the onion (perhaps green pepper would be a nice addition here) with the hamburger. Alternate layers in the crockpot. I divided the ingredients into thirds, so had three layers of everything. This is the recommended order.
hamburger
canadian bacon
pasta
cheese
cream soup
mushrooms
pizza sauce
pepperoni
Cook 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high.

Of course, we haven't tried it yet, but it smells good as it is cooking. If anyone is curious, I'll let you know how it turned out! Oh, and this filled the crockpot to the top...Would be enough for a big family. We, three, will be eating this for several meals!
