Shopping for Necessities

If you are a teenager, a cell phone is a necessity. And if you are a teenager away from home, it is absolutely necessary. We went out to look at some of our options today. Line was thinking that maybe she would like an iPhone...but we do not have iPhone service in South Dakota...yes, we are in the middle of nowhere...
But check out this BlackBerry Curve. With the in-store rebate and the mail-in rebate, the phone would be $50.00. This phone is also a camera and can be used to send and receive your email...

We are comparing the cost of Line getting her own cell phone plan or adding her on to our plan for a year. We already have a four phone plan...so adding a 5th phone with international calling is a possibility.

Dinner with Family
Tonight, Line met her American Grandma and Aunt. We had a dinner of Salmon on the grill, Rice, Corn on the Cob, and Harvest Zucchini before Emily left to go back to summer school. It is the last week of classes and finals. Then she will be home for some much needed rest, relaxation, recreation and rejuvenation.

Having you blog about her time with your family is a rich blessing to her family back home....If they don't have a computer, there is way to make your blog into a book for her to take back home. I assume you already knew that, but thought I would mention it, just in case. :o)
