TGIF & Happy Turkey Day

Meet our Assistant Principal and School Resource Officer. It has become tradition that they have the honor of carving the Turkeys for our Celebration Dinner. This term we have 4 Basic Foods classes so have introduced two guest carvers from Court Services. Today 120 students ate 8 turkeys, 60 pounds of potatoes with gravey, 28 cans of corn, 8 dozen dinner rolls, 8 cherry cheesecakes, 8 chocolate desserts, 8 pumpkin pies and 4 apple crisps. Tonight, there are 2 exhausted Basic Foods teachers, that are very happy that is is Friday.

That's a lot of turkey! But what a fun class and what a great learning opportunity. I can definitely understand why you're exhausted...but what a neat job you have.

Have a great weekend! You deserve it!!
