Things in my House Thursday

Over-ripe Bananas...and you all know what that means!
I tried a new recipe for Banana Bread this week.

Banana Bread
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 beaten eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (5 medium)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cooking oil
1 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Make well in center of dry ingredients, set aside.
Combine eggs, banana, sugar, oil, and lemon peel. Add liquid mixture, all at once, to dry mixture. Stir just until moistened. Fold in walnuts.
Spoon batter into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick tests clean.

While this recipe is delicious...my favorite is still the one with cream cheese. Have I shared that one with you?

That looks so good. I wish I had a piece right now. I am definitely going to give that a try as bananas are my husbands favorite.
