Monday Memories

Foreign Exchange daugher, Line, is spending the week in Hawaii.  This brings back memories of our trip.  Amy was to be a senior in HS...going away to college...so I knew this may our last chance for a family vacation.

August 2002...Hubby drove us to Fargo to catch our flight...

It seemed to take forever...but we were finally in Honolulu...
We were presented with a lei when we got off the plane at the airport...

We arrived late that night but we up and on the beach early the next morning!

And on the street...

And in the hotel lobby...

And enjoying the sun and the sand...
Did I mention our tatoos???

The girls and I were up and out early, as Emily ran Varsity Cross Country...Amy has always loved a good workout...and I was into walking...
Volunteer to dance??  Of course, Amy is there...on stage!!

Our hotel was across the street from the International Market Place...and there were three fabulous restaurants... in the complex.  In the evening, we always got 'ready' to go out to eat!

And, of course, we all had some fun in the water...

Attending the traditional Hawaiian Luau...
But...my favorite was hanging out on the beach...with the warm sun...the warm sand...and two of my most favorite people on the earth!

It's fun to look back on the past isn't it? Sometimes you can find new thoughts and awareness from looking at the past. Other times you just laugh and feel good about where your life is going.
Thank you for sharing with us.
