I want to thank everyone who stopped by and left such sincere comments about the loss of our family farmstead.

This is the house where I lived until I was 14 years old, then my family had the opportunity to move to the home on our family's farmstead.
This house was amazing...

So many good memories here...
And water cannot wash away our memories.

Wow ~ that is really amazing! I can't believe the water is still rising but you are right - it can't take away your memories. I hope it starts to dry out soon!
So very sorry about your farm. I wish you peace and safety... and a new beginning that is better than you could ever have hoped for.
Such sad news. I'll pray you all have relief soon. I live downstream in Iowa near the Missouri River and we are having some flooding around here as well as water is being released from dams up north. My home hasn't been affected, but family and friends' homes have been. It sounds like this will continue through the summer. So sorry about your homes. Connie

Natalie, I was shocked to see on the news that the water is still rising.
So heartbreaking....your first home is rich in beauty and history as well. I agree...no matter how much water, you will always have beautiful memories.
