I Love a Parade...& College Game Day Report

It was Homecoming Weekend.
Northern State University's Gypsy Day Parade is one of the best around.
180 entries...to be exact.
Folks line the street early...
...and some choose to watch from above.

A Parade Highlight for me, is when our Marching Band comes down the street...
...with precision and power...
I love to see my students participating in activities outside of the classroom.

It was overcast, but a perfect morning to spend with good friends
celebrating our Aberdeen community.

(Emily, I found an NSU TShirt in your dresser drawer.
Thanks for lending it to me for the day!)

Take care,

I would love to watch from a balcony! Sidewalks are crowded and my feet get stepped on and because I am tall I always stand in back. In high school I marched in color guard and parades that we were in were awesome!

But those firemen in kilts! Thye're a hit!

Haven't had time for college football...hope it was fun for you :)

Your weekend looks like fun...our teams did not fare so well. The Volunteers are young so we know we have to give them time but the Eagles-ugh. The Jets-ugh.

Oh well, the weather was gorgeous : )

Hi Natalie,
Love seeing the parade...and the marching bands ALWAYS give me goosebumps. Something about all those kids working together for ONE common goal; magical.
(I borrow my girls t-shirts too)
I've not been a great commenter lately either...so busy doing this and that.
Loved that you taught the kiddos how to make chicken stock and TO cut up an entire chicken....it is an art. And something we should all know.
One day, I will make it over to one of your cook outs, they always look great! Your friends and co-workers are lucky to know you both.
xoxo
