Thursday and Friday was busy...busy...
as it was time for our Basic Foods Turkey Dinner.
We make four different desserts for the dessert buffet.
Impossible Pumpkin Pie
Chocolate Pudding Pie
Easy No-Bake Cheesecake
and Apple Crisp
Senior boys are chosen to wash and prepare the turkeys for roasting...
(I think these two had a little too much fun, wouldn't you say?!)
Friday morning, the Turkeys needed to be in the oven by 6:00 a.m.,
to be fully cooked by 8:30 a.m.
Thank goodness for the Reynolds Oven Bags...
they decrease the roasting time...
(I previous went to the school by 5 a.m.)
And as tradition,
our Assistant Principal and School Resource Officer carve the turkeys.
Saturday was a gloomy, rainy day...
a good day for a little nap.
And a good day to take the tired...drab...winter clothing from my closet
and replace it with the spring and summer attire.
You can see that I had a little help...
Until an argument broke out.
There was just enough turkey leftover, so that hubby and I could enjoy a
Hot Turkey Combo...
so I whipped up some mashed potatoes and gravy.
(and yes, I like freshly ground black pepper)
Which dessert was the favorite, you ask?
The Easy No Bake Cheesecake.

I hope your Saturday's work
included a little R & R.
Take care,
~Natalie

That was great. I LOVED the boys with their birds(too cute). Oh Yes, I (((LOVE)))turkey brown bags. It also makes the turkey SO MOIST!
Now you made me crave "TURKEY"!!!
Have a relaxing Sunday and wonderful week,
Donna
My saturday work included sitting and stitching. I'm now playing catch up this afternoon: Laundry hanging on the line , kitchen cleaned and rearranging here and there.
Your closet helpers made me laugh - "until an argument broke out" that happens in this house all the time! Gotta have a little cat fight. ~Ann
Such handsome guys who cleaned and stuffed the turkey!!
Have a good Sunday,
Adrian
Hi, Natalie,
Love your blog, and want to thank you for becoming a follower of mine at Mixed Media Manic!
Paula
I just love the photo of the two boys with the turkeys. I bet this was probably the first time they have ever done this. Everything looks great! Kit
Oh boy, I'm a week late Nat... lol. I hope you're getting the Mother's Day treatment you so deserve :)
Wow, by the looks of those turkeys, you needed strapping strong boys to handle them! Those leftovers sure do look delicious.
Love your supervisors too, but yeah, sometimes two heads aren't better than one... LOL.
Hugs of Happiness!
Carol
