What'cha Workin' on Wednesday ~Things in my House Thursday ~Introducing our Garage Project

Yes, there is a dumpster in our driveway...
a very large dumpster.
It has been there for five weeks now...
it is an eyesore.
My apologies to our neighbors.

You see there was a temporary wall in the back of the garage.
The original idea was a good one. Cars park in the garage...
with a separate area for a shop and storage.

The main problem is that since hubby has driven a pickup,
his vehicle is too long to fit into the garage.
So it was time for the wall to go.

In front of the wall,
were the stacks of boxes that I brought home from school.
Remember last spring when we had to remove everything from our
Teacher Planning Center so they could recarpet the area.

Now... don't judge me.
I'm going to show you what's behind the wall.
Give me time to explain.

On the left, those brown boxes
are my mother's things.

...along with various crafting supplies.

The white paper boxes with the lids...
those are my out-of-season clothes.
Typically, would be moved over to the storage shed.

On the right I had a shelf with extra kitchen appliances...
the ones I would tote to school on lab days.

This is what that area looks like now!
We have been very busy!!
The wall is gone...
...construction can begin.

Step one: Dig a big hole in your backyard.

Be sure to have good supervision
when you are digging your hole.

After all, the equipment is large.

Step Two: Mix up some cement.

Pour some in the bottom of your big hole.
Let set overnight.

We can't wait to see what happens next!
Stay tuned...

Take care,
~Natalie

Wowza! This looks like a huge undertaking; but it'll be nice to be able to park the pickup in the garage soon. Best of luck!
