Happy FriYay ~Here’s Where the Week Went ~Little Robin Redbreast ~Burger Battle Champion ~May Day ~The Krave ~My Destash

When our Easter Decor came down, the Spring Decor went up.
What could be more appropriate than a flock of Robins?

I do have a special place in my heart for that pretty bird.
I fondly remember, as a young girl,
how excited my mother was when we spotted that
first little Robin in the Springtime.

And of course, she recited a poem,
“Little Robin Redbreast”

Guess who else enjoyed helping me decorate my
tree with those feathered little ornaments.

The Spiritual meaning of the Robin Redbreast is Love and Vitality,
New beginnings and Rebirth…like Spring.

The Robin is a spiritual connection with those loved ones
that have passed away.

“When Robins appear, Loved ones are Near”

Burger Battle
We were gone three weeks during the Burger Battle,
so Hubby and I didn’t try all seventeen Burgers.
However we did enjoy some tasty entrees…
This one at the Bar-be-Que Twist.

And..the..Winner..is..
Wakeside Bar and Grill.

Looks like we’ll be taking a road trip out to Mina Lake
To try the Big Buff Burger.

May Day
Another Spring Highlight is when these Handsome Young Men
ring our doorbell and leave a May Basket.

I do try to chase them, but as the years have gone on,
they have gotten much faster while I am getting slower.

Cinco de Mayo

One of our favorite meals, Taco Meat and all the fixings…
sometimes Ground Beef, sometimes Shredded Chicken.
I make my own Seasoning, and my little secret…
I simmer the meat and seasoning with
Chicken Broth instead of water.

Krave
Sips, Eats, Sweets
Our PEO group met at Krave this week.
Upon ordering, the chef prepares a fresh crepe.

There are many options on the Menu.
Do you like Savory or Sweet?
This is the Caprese Delight.
Mozzarella, Basil, Cherry Tomatoes,
 with a Balsamic Glaze.

Spring Cleaning
It is still Spring, and I am still cleaning.
Each year, as I go through the kitchen cabinets I
remove the items I have not used in the past year…
dishes, pans, small appliances, or utensils.

I’d love to re-home this set of Weizen beer glasses.
They were seldom used.
Let me know if you are interested.

Take care,
~Natalie
