It’s been a week since my last post.
And it has been a week filled with friends and family,
a little work, a lot of fun, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.
Congratulations to Lexi upon her college graduation.
Our families have been close friends for years,
so we enjoyed celebrating with her parents, her sister,
and the whole extended family.
Another reason to celebrate…Mother’s Day.
Hubby’s mother and I enjoyed dinner in Stacy’s home.
A bouquet for Great Grandma.
Who doesn’t love fresh cut flowers on Mother’s Day.
I received this beautiful Pashmina,
which I suspect was chosen by our granddaughter,
and pretty beverage napkins for my morning coffee.
Spring Cleaning continues Room by Room, this week in the kitchen.
Here’s my tip of the day…
Those little sticky notes go on the door as I finish each cabinet.
It’s a feeling of accomplishment when
there’s one on each and every cupboard door and drawer.
Every Spring, I take every thing out,
wipe off the shelves, and then put only some of it back.
If it wasn’t used in the past year, it goes in the donation box.
Like this stand mixer, for example. Currently looking for a new home.
I love that it has beaters, dough hooks, and wire whisk options.
Helper Cat and I cleaned the oven.
Another highlight in our week…
Our friends returned from their trip and we scooped them up at the airport.
We laughed when we saw their flight come in, right over our heads.
Of course, the plane beat us to the airport,
but we were there in time to meet them when they deplaned.
Hubby made his weekend brunch for us.
And I made a homemade pepperoni and veggie pizza for dinner.
I hope you all had a week full of reasons to celebrate,
Time with family and friends,
Progress on your house chores and projects,
Delicious food,
And Time to Stop and Smell the Roses.
Take care,
~Natalie
