Sunday Funday ~Where the Week Went ~Quarantine Highlights ~Much Misc ~Etsy Shop ~Face Masks ~Our Grandson ~Pizza Friday ~Grandma’s Garden ~Helper Cat

Over a week has passed since my last blog post.
I had to look at my photos to see
if anything blog worthy had happened.

I’ve been to the USPS with a couple of Etsy Packages...
like this Scarecrow.

And Hubby’s Wood Turning Creations
have gotten a lot of attention in my Etsy Shop, too.

I’ve had a few requests
for youth size face masks...

And it warmed my heart, when one of my former students
tagged me in her First Day of School post
with her children wearing the masks I created.

That was just the motivation that Lizzie and I needed
to bring out the Cutting Mat and Ironing Board to make a new batch.

This is the black, white, and gray collection
I created for a neighbor’s request.
Let me know if you want to see what else is in my inventory.

Good friends traveled out of town to visit their children...
And brought us some treats when they returned!

Papa and Gigi are always over the moon
when we get photos and videos of our Grandson.
Doesn’t he look like such a big boy here?!

It was too hot to turn on the oven last week. So we ordered Pizza.
That darling pizza cutter is a gift from a friend...
A thank you for my making masks for her and her hubby.

I’ve been into making No-Bake Mini Cheesecakes lately.
And I love this crust that uses Ritz Crackers.
It is just the right amount of salty with the sweet.

My Mother-in-Law’s Garden has been producing...
and she generously shares tomatoes and cucumbers with us.

No store-bought tomato can compare to
the color and flavor of a tomato from Grandma’s Garden.

Last and certainly not least...
this photo was in my Facebook Memories.

This Cat.

She was really my best helper cat,
faithfully following me from room to room
as I worked on my daily house chores.

Stay safe and well, everyone.
Take care,
~Natalie

Things in Our House Thursday ~The Little Things that Make me Smile ~National Love Your Pet Day

This Day is all about Lizzie.

She is a great helper cat when we are
working on projects that are fun and creative...

...or working on tasks that are tedious.

Lizzie has her own chair
for watching television in the family room...

...and her own stool at our counter.

Our friends gifted her a plate of her own
for when she eats her cat treats.

Lizzie is the King of her Hut.

She guards the entrance and clears out all the pesky rodents.

Every morning, when I tidy up the house,
I seek out all the mice, rats, and bunnies
and place them on her hut.

She’ll either bump them down one at a time,
or clear them off with one swoop of her paw.

She continues to reign over her domain
even when I run the Roomba.

She is not just the King of her Hut,
she is pretty much the Queen of this Castle.
She sometimes sits at the top of the stairway where
she can keep an eye on both the upstairs and downstairs.

She loves visiting the Man Cave...

...and often reminds Hubby that she is in charge.

She doesn’t hesitate to show Roomba Who’s the Boss.

Probably the sweetest,
was how quickly she made friends with our Grandson.
Here they are getting acquainted at Breakfast the first morning.

It wasn’t long before they were playing with
Legos and Grandpa’s Hot Wheels.

Lizzie’s favorite place to relax is on this
rug in the kitchen in front of the Heat Register.

Who can blame her?
When she falls asleep, she is like a limp noodle.

Whether you love Dogs or Cats...

...you know that the love of a pet
is the best example of unconditional love.
Treat your Furry Friend to some Extra TLC today.

Take care,
~Natalie

Cyber Monday ~Tins and Treasures Etsy Sale ~Where the Weekend Went ~Our Friendsgiving Gathering

Cyber Monday...Time for my annual Coupon Sale

Use Coupon Code CYBERMON to receive 20% off.
Local Friends, if you see something you’d like,
send me a message to make arrangements
to purchase and avoid shipping costs.
This sale is good..all..week..long.

And now for our weekend highlights...
We enjoyed FaceTime chats with our family...
both daughters,
a son-in-law,
and this happy little grandson!

With daughter’s input,
I made some great Black Friday purchases.

Small Business Saturday...
We were in the middle of a Winter Storm so many places were not open,
however, we found this locally owned establishment for some lunch.

Then home to watch some college football in the man cave.
Lizzie likes the man cave too, not for watching the game,
but so she can explore.

This was the view from my Sewing Studio window...

...and the view out the patio doors.

On Sunday, Alan and Kari hosted our second annual Friendsgiving.
You can see that involves football along with fabulous food.

Our hosts made this delicious Honey Glazed Ham.
Our sides included all the necessary comfort foods...
Cheesy potatoes, Creamed peas, Cranberries,

Spinach Salad with oranges, berries, red onion,
pecans, and Parmesan cheese.

Sweet potatoes with brown sugar and marshmallows.

Best of all, is catching up with good friends.

We did a good job on that 8 lb. ham.

It was a great way to kick off a new week and a new month.
Another Thanksgiving Holiday weekend
is in the memory books.

Take care,
~Natalie

Getting Acquainted With My Furry Friend ~Jack and Bella

Baby Jack and Baby Bella, just checking each other out.
Amy adopted Bella about 12 years ago when she was in Lincoln, going to school at UNL.

Some of you might remember when Amy and Bella stayed with us
during one of Amy's rotations for PA school.

Since then, Bella has moved with Amy to Rochester, Mn, to Okinawa, to the UK, and then back to Okinawa. Bella has more "stamps on her passport" than I do! Just kidding!!

Bella is a faithful furry friend, and is now sharing her Amy with a tiny human.
I think she appreciates her quiet space...

...but, in time, Jack and Bella will be good friends.

Life is good for the furry friend and the tiny human.

                              We are Blessed!
                                 Take care,
                                   ~Natalie

It’s National Pumpkin Day ~A Versatile Fruit… Or is a Vegetable??

It’s a fruit, as it is a product of the seed-bearing structure of flowering plants. Or like I’d say to my 9th grade Basic Foods Class, “It’s...
