Over a week has passed since my last blog post.

I had to look at my photos to see

if anything blog worthy had happened.

I’ve been to the USPS with a couple of Etsy Packages...

like this Scarecrow.

 

And Hubby’s Wood Turning Creations

have gotten a lot of attention in my Etsy Shop, too.

I’ve had a few requests

for youth size face masks...

And it warmed my heart, when one of my former students

tagged me in her First Day of School post

with her children wearing the masks I created.

That was just the motivation that Lizzie and I needed

 to bring out the Cutting Mat and Ironing Board to make a new batch.

This is the black, white, and gray collection

I created for a neighbor’s request.

Good friends traveled out of town to visit their children...

And brought us some treats when they returned!

Papa and Gigi are always over the moon

when we get photos and videos of our Grandson.

Doesn’t he look like such a big boy here?!

It was too hot to turn on the oven last week. So we ordered Pizza.

That darling pizza cutter is a gift from a friend...

A thank you for my making masks for her and her hubby.

I’ve been into making No-Bake Mini Cheesecakes lately.

And I love this crust that uses Ritz Crackers.

It is just the right amount of salty with the sweet.

My Mother-in-Law’s Garden has been producing...

and she generously shares tomatoes and cucumbers with us.

No store-bought tomato can compare to

the color and flavor of a tomato from Grandma’s Garden.

Last and certainly not least...

this photo was in my Facebook Memories.

This Cat.

She was really my best helper cat,

faithfully following me from room to room

as I worked on my daily house chores.

Yay for Friday ~Boo for the Weather Forecast

Everywhere we go, our winter weather 

is the hot topic of conversation around here.

This was a recent trip to the USPS to mail packages.

I was the only person that ventured out that day...

Usually the line is out the door!

Snow does look pretty when it gathers on the trees.

Speaking of the USPS, delivering and retrieving mail 

is becoming more and more challenging.

Many folks are running out of room to pile the white stuff

when cleaning driveways and sidewalks.

I am thankful for our snowblower 

and my hubby who operates it!

This is how our week started...

It’s the extreme cold that makes the snowblowing most miserable.

And then there was this forecast.

We already have snowfall totals way above normal amounts.

We won’t be sitting out on the patio anytime soon.

This is the view out our front door.

The city crews work day and night to clear our streets.

And now... another Winter Storm.

We shouldn’t be surprised, as it is typical for us to have a 

Blizzard during our Spring Break and Basketball Tournaments.

I just don’t know 

where we are going to put 6 more inches of snow?

Or 8 inches of snow, 

depending on your source of weather information.

Our best advice is to hunker down,

And find a place that is safe and warm.

Tuesday's Topic

The big topic of the day was our weather. We are again, in a winter storm warning. This was the view from my front door this morning. It is currently 6 degrees and the wind chill is 26 below. We did have a full day of school, and actually that is the safest place of all the students. If we had an early release, they'd be going to their friends' houses, the mall, fast food places, video rental places, etc...But you should hear them whine! Little do they know that the teachers would love to go home for the afternoon, as well...

I'm a day behind, but I'm happy to announce that Mary from Quilt Hollow has won my March Give Away. I am also celebrating my 150th post. As soon as I hear from her with her mailing address, I'll plow through the snow to the USPS with her package!

Finish It Up Friday

9:30 p.m. update...
...Well, this evening, I had some dinner with my DH...and since, have been hand stitching on these Christmas Tree ornaments. They are almost done...and so am I!









3:30 update...

I had a little lunch; enjoyed a 40 minute nap; did some housework; and prepared a package to take to the USPS. The freezing rain and snow pellets made driving a little slick!



12:30 update...
...these Santas are finished now, too! They were just waiting for their belts, which I purchased at the Nearly New Shop ... so, no two are alike. There are beans in their bottoms so they sit.

11:00 a.m. update...
...just finished these hanging Santas...I really like how their beards turned out. The belt is just tied in place and I'm still deciding if I like it...what do you think?

Today is Comp Day ... that means ... because we teachers spend 4 evenings during the school year conducting parent/teacher conferences, we get one extra day off each semester.
Now ... those 4 days are very long, because we teach from 8:10 to 3:20 and then conference from 5:00 to 9:00 ...and are back in school the next morning...
but having this day at home definately makes up for it!! I am focusing on the UFOs today!
