Things in Our House Thursday ~The Little Things that Make Me Smile ~Valentine Hearts

Last month I traded out my Santas for Snowmen.
Here in the Dakotas,
they can stay out on display until Spring Break.

Many of them are adorned with Hearts for Valentines Day.

This tree on my bathroom vanity,
that  lights the way when I get up in the night,
is also decked out for Valentines Day.

This alone makes me smile!

This is the box where I store my Sweet Valentine Stuff...
cards from my Hubby and our Daughters,
along with some little craft projects we created together.

My Valentines Mugs that were gifts from years ago.

Heart Shaped Crystal Candy Dishes...

... prompted a trip to Target to purchase
cute Heart Sharped Chocolates.

These angels have been on our work table...
Now ready for a new forever home.

Hello, Dolly.

Sending you love and smiles.

Give Thanks for all of life’s blessings.

Take care,
~Natalie

What’cha Workin’ on Wednesday ~So Long, Santa ~Helllo Snowmen

It was about time for Helper Cat and I to pack up
the Christmas Decorations.

I love the glow of the lights in the evening...
and since we don’t decorate until after Thanksgiving,
it’s nice to leave them up until mid-January.

Santa and Friends gathered for storage.

And then, there’s this...

Helper Cat wasn’t sure if I could get that mess
straightened out and into the storage tub.

In fact...she decided to take a little break.

With the Christmas Decor put away, the house seems so bare.
Having a few snowmen to fill in the void helps.
Remember, these were new for Winterfest this year.

These have always been a another favorite of mine,
made with all Upcycled Vintage Materials.

Bundle up...there’s plenty of Winter left on the calendar.

With our temperatures in the deep freeze...

...Comfort Food hits the spot.
After Pot Roast Sunday,
we enjoyed Hot Beef Combo Monday.

Stay safe and warm, my friends.

Take care,
~Natalie

What’cha Workin’ on Wednesday ~Countdown to Winterfest ~Three Days #WinterfestAberdeen

Introducing our newest snowman.
I think this guy is my new personal favorite!

Hubby and I work as a team...
He cuts, stains, and assembles.
I paint, edge, stitch, and glue.

They are ready for their debut on Saturday!

I like snowmen and display them all Winter...
which here in the Dakotas is through March!

We hope to see you this weekend.
Stop by our Tins and Treasures booth and say Hello.

Take care,
~Natalie

Looking for my Blogworthy ~Countdown to Winterfest~Five Days #WinterfestAberdeen

It’s been a while since I have posted an update here.
Whenever that happens, I check my photo albums
to see what has been blogworthy in my life.

I feel like all my posts have been the same lately.
*Winterfest Projects
*Bison Football
*What’s for Dinner
*What Lizzie is doing

You can see I have finished the little Snowmen
and this Rafter of Turkeys.

Hubby used his Wood Turning talents to create pedestals
for my Vintage Wool Bluebirds.

These Snowmen are also created with Vintage Upcycled Fabrics.

We enjoyed a Bison game on Veterans Day weekend.

I tried a new recipe for Chicken Mushroom Pasta.
I added fresh herbs and cream cheese to make it rich and tasty.

Then there’s Lizzie, my helper cat.
She plays hard...

Then, sleeps hard.
Her new favorite place to nap is on the rug by the kitchen sink.
She discovered a heat register there.
Who can blame her?!

I should have more Santas and Snowmen finished
and ready to show you tomorrow.

Local Friends,
We hope to see you this weekend.

Take care,
~Natalie

Things In My House Thursday ~The Little Things That Make Me Smile ~Snowman Collection Still Relevant

When my Santa Collection goes into storage,
the snowmen come out to take their place.

In the Dakotas, Snowman Decor will take us right up into March.
Sometimes we get our biggest snowstorm the week of Spring Break.
Here is our forecast, it looks like we will have a two day reprieve...
and then more snow and cold.

Yesterday, I showed you our snow covered patio.
This snowman looks quite at home out there.

I am starting to regret the “Let it Snow” message here.

We are thankful for our warm house, warm cars,
warm food, and warm clothes.

This snowman is sporting a denim vest with
hearts for Valentines Day.

Just like the Santas, over the years,
whenever I created a new design,
I kept one for my own collection.

Stay safe and warm, everyone.

Take care,
~Natalie

Thankful Thursday ~It’s the Little Things that make me Smile

Like these memories. You might remember it was a year ago that I stayed with family to help with childcare. This was Granddaughter’s Summer ...
