Our Family Fun continued after the Golf Tournament.
We went home with Emily and Jake to enjoy the City of Boston.
Historic Buildings, Cobblestone Sidewalks,
Quaint Neighborhoods.
We took our time walking downtown
to appreciate all the sights.
When in Boston, a visit to the Cheers Bar is a must.
Cliff and Norm’s seats are still there,
marked with a name plate.
We took a little break from the outside heat for a refreshment.
It is such a unique downtown, seeing the historic
buildings nestled in with the modern architecture.
We have visited the Boston Commons before
but it is always a favorite of ours.
The State House
That is the Customs House in the center of this photo.
Seven years ago, Jake took Emily up in the elevator to the top.
There, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
Of course, She said “Yes”
Our next break was at the Sam Adams Tap Room.
We enjoyed these brews and all shared a tasty Flatbread.
Next stop…the Boston Public Market.
This is one of my favorites.
One can browse the variety of goods on display.
Candles, Honey, Baked Goods, Pasta, Fruits & Vegetables,
Fine Arts, Sweet Treats, and Much More.
Hubby enjoyed looking around in this booth
with the beautiful wood turned bowls on display.
Plenty of inspiration for him when we get home
and he gets back in his own wood shop.
We love fish and seafood,
and there’s no better place to experience it than the East Coast.
At the Boston Public Market,
there is something for everyone.
Outside, the sidewalks were lined
with luscious fresh fruits and vegetables.
This Historic Landmark was also on our Bucket List.
America’s Oldest Restaurant, The Union Oyster House.
Jake ordered the Oysters for us to share.
And he knows just what to do
to get them ready to eat…So delicious!
Our outing in the city was perfect.
The Historical Sites, the Good Food, the Shopping,
and just being together.
It was a great day!
Take care,
~Natalie
