Final Days of our Family Visit ~Filled with Plenty of Highlights ~Lobster Fest ~Local Brewery ~Independence Day Celebration

The Parents returned from Maine bringing two coolers
of Live Lobsters! What a treat!!

It was fascinating for the Young and the Young at Heart.

While enjoying the whole process of Lobster Preparation,
we noshed on light appetizers…

…including this delicious crab dip.

It was a Picture Perfect Meal.

The next morning we finished our Saturday’s Work early
so we could go to a Local Brewery for lunch.

Great Awakening.
Tell me, when you look at their logo,
do you see the G or the A?

I ordered the Summer Bries Flatbread.
Roasted Apples, Brie, Prosciutto, Arugula…
on Maple Dijon Mayo, drizzled with a Balsamic Reduction.
A unique flavor combination, but it was oh..so..delicious.

Some of us were up early on the Fourth.
Our host seasoned this huge brisket
and had it in the smoker shortly after 7am

I prepared my Aunty Vivian’s Texas Beans
in the Crockpot. Since Brisket was on the menu,
I didn’t use the ground beef.

Rain had kept us in the house for days.
So it was nice to enjoy a beautiful day out in the yard.

Afternoon appetizers to satisfy us
until the Brisket and Beans were ready.

Our hostess prepared this scrumptious salad
with Arugula, Cucumbers, Watermelon, and Feta.

Jack was coaching his Daddy while slicing the Brisket.

We had so much to celebrate, including this guy’s birthday!

Finally it was getting dark…

So we could bring out the special light up toys.
It was a day full of food, family, and fun!

Take care,
~Natalie
