It’s been a Few Days ~Here’s Where the Time Went ~Sanford Heart Hospital ~a Sweet Reunion with a Very Special Friend

Hubby’s Mother had medical appointments out of town,
So we loaded up the car and went on a road trip.
Mother-in-Law rode shotgun…

…so I had the backseat to myself and enjoyed sewing
Vintage Buttons on these Lace Heart Ornaments.

After checking into our hotel we found a spot
nearby for a little dinner.
I was so excited to see a Beet Salad on the Menu…
The Goat Cheese and Candied Walnuts sounded so tasty.

Does anyone know anything about Yellow Arugula?
I didn’t know it was a thing?

Google says if your greens have turned yellow it’s time to compost!

This was my dinner the second night…
Much better presentation.

The first day was all about lab work and testing.
We sat in eight different waiting rooms
during that nine hour day.

See that gift shop over yonder?

Plenty of items to provide
creative inspiration.

This is the view of the Heart Hospital from the window
in the Main Hospital. There is a walkway so we could stay indoors.

…More creative inspiration in the hallway along the way

After our consultation with the Cardiologist,
there was only one more test scheduled.

I was able to get away for a couple of hours
to have lunch with this special friend.

We met 45 years ago, teaching together for decades.
We spent time taking our children on outings,
to Storybook Land, the Library,
the Swimming Pool, the Fabric Store, and Mr Donut.

Lorie and I enjoyed a Coffee Date once a week for 40 years,
In all kinds of weather.

We took classes and earned our Masters Degrees together.

We had not seen each other since before the Pandemic.
It was a wonderful reunion.

This was 4:30am the next morning, checking in for her procedures.

Dr. Charles “Pat” O’ Brian
Dr. Lloyd Solberg
Dr. John Vander Woulde

These three Cardiologists were the physician core of
the Sanford Heart Hospital in 1997.

Their leadership, dedication to excellence, and
devotion to the welfare of patients, family, and staff
provides the strong foundation on which Sanford was built and serves today.

That was evident in the Care we received over the past two days.
Thank you, Sanford.

Take care,
~Natalie
