Getting noticed on Etsy is no easy feat.
There were 6.30 million active sellers
reported at the end of 2023.
So, it’s no wonder that an Artist does a Happy Dance
when that sale notification comes in.
Our Valentine hearts have always been a favorite in my Shop.
Hubby cuts and sands the wooden hearts in his Woodshop.
He brings them in to my work table for painting…
…and edging, perhaps my most favorite step.
I love using that little detail sander.
Then they go back to the shop for staining.
We have sold out twice, so this third batch is drying,
and will soon be ready for the finishing embellishments.
As promised, here’s my first report on the Sewing Studio,
and my dream to reclaim that work space.
This framed greeting in the doorway was a gift I made for my mother.
Yes, I started creating as a young child.
This is what the room looked like the day after Winterfest…
Overwhelming, right?
I have no good excuse, just lots of little reasons on how much it got to this point.
Since our family was coming for Thanksgiving Week,
we just unloaded everything,
stashed it all in there, and closed the door.
Organizing and De-stashing..
Just one section at a time.
This was my dresser when growing up.
First, in my Childhood Bedroom, then it
accompanied me to college.
It was the perfect size for a cramped dorm room.
Now the drawers are filled with markers, pens,
staplers, paper clips, tape, sticky notes, cards, envelopes,
And so much more.
Just a few of the little things that provide inspiration…
My mother’s favorite teapot, one of my grandmother’s hats,
and a handmade pottery trinket box.
