It has been two weeks since we said goodbye and
stood by her side as Lizzie crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Lizzie had the sweetest personality.
She was gentle and friendly to everyone she met.
She was our Helper Cat, in the Woodshop and in the Sewing Studio.
She had her own stool at the counter during mealtime.
Our friends even gifted Lizzie with her own dinner plate.
Perhaps my best Target purchase…ever, was this Hut.
She claimed it as her own, immediately.
She took shelter under the hut…
…and reigned as the Queen on top of the hut.
Every day, we piled her cat toys on top of her hut,
and it wasn’t long before she took charge of those pesky mice.
One of our clues that she wasn’t feeling well,
was when she stopped playing in her hut.
She also slept more than usual, and ate less than usual.
Of course, we took her to the clinic…more than once.
She even stayed there overnight for tests.
But there were no answers as to why our Lizzie was ill.
Those of you that have had a faithful furry friend
know that we are missing her,
every place we look, everything we do.
A Pet makes a House a Home.
I’ll be back to share more of Lizzie’s favorite things
along with more of our favorite memories.
Take care,
~Natalie
