Where the Weekend Went ~A Fast and Fun Forty-Eight Hours ~Day One Report ~Family Visit ~Priceless

This Papa and Gigi had visitors. Our family came for the weekend.
We’re not sure who had more fun playing?
Our kittens or our grandsons?

In fact, it was so much fun that they all were up
before 6 a.m. and ready for action.

Of course, Storybook Land was our plan for the afternoon.
It was a beautiful day with bright sunshine and a slight breeze.

We went to the Land of Oz first, we were brave in the Tornado House.
We walked quickly through the Haunted Forest with the talking trees,
the flying monkeys, and Wicked Witch of the West.

We checked in with the Pirate on his Ship…

…and slayed the dragon.

We rode the little train…

…choosing to sit in the Caboose.

We all loved the The Carousel,

And the big Train that takes us all around the Storybook Land park and Zoo.
(This has always been my personal favorite)

Next Stop…Great Grandma’s new apartment.
We enjoyed looking at her old photo albums and
hearing her stories about the olden days.

We ordered pizza for dinner and the staff
set us up in their Party Porch.

The line for Twist Cone was long…it was out to the street!
“I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream”

However, it worth the wait, as the Italian Ice flavor of the week
was Lemon Chiffon.
It was a sweet ending to a perfect Saturday.

Take care,
~Natalie
