On Christmas Eve Eve, We Rode the Santa Train

It was a beautiful day in Chattanooga at the
Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

Our daughter, Amy, secured tickets for our group to ride the
Christmas Daylight Express.

With those tickets in hand, we got in line.
“ALL ABOARD”

The conductor punched our tickets with the
same flourish as Tom Hanks on The Polar Express.

We were fortunate to find eleven seats together.
Papa and Jojo sat right behind Jack and Henry and their parents.

The Fernandes sisters were across the aisle…

…and here are my seat partners.

At the first stop, a Reindeer and one of Santa’s Helpers joined us on board.
They visited with each child, posed for photos, and treated us to a Candy Cane.

Santa’s Helper distributed postcards for
the Children to complete for Santa.

Then at the next stop,
Santa, himself, came on Board!

Santa is loved by everyone, the young…

…and the young at heart.

Santa answered questions, gave a report on his Reindeer,
and what has been keeping Mrs. Claus busy.

Papa entertained the grandchildren with his stories
on the way back to the depot.

Henry got some cuddles with Mama while
his Daddy found a family friendly place for some lunch.

Riding the Santa Train was just one
of many highlights of our trip to visit family.

We are Blessed.

Take care,
~Natalie
