Back to School ~It’s that Time of Year ~First Day Photos

This past week, my newsfeed was filled

with first day of school photos.

I loved seeing all the smiling faces…

on both students and teachers.

This is my first day of first grade.

Here’s my first day of school, my 38th

and final year of teaching.

Our grandsons have been in school for 3 weeks already.

Second grade and Pre-K

And here’s our granddaughter and her little brother

on their way to Preschool.

We love the family that lives next door.

Here are the boys, 

Sixth and Third Grade.

Here’s what we were doing on the first day of school,

my first year of retirement…nine years ago.

And now Hubby is retired, too…

Celebrating our Life’s Work.

Retirement comes with a promise of freedom, relaxation, 

adventure, and finding Joy in the simple things.
