It has been ten days since Hubby had a heart attack.
We have much gratitude for the EMTs, his Primary Care Physician,
his Cardiologist, and the team of Health Care Professionals at Sanford.
Tests in the Cath Lab determined there was significant blockage
and that Scott was a candidate for Open Heart Surgery.
That evening we boarded the MedFight and
were on our way to Sioux Falls.
The ride was swift and smooth.
Forty minutes, actually.

We spent two days here, for more testing and monitoring.
Finally, Scott’s surgery was scheduled for Friday.
It was a Quadruple Bypass.
My home away from home was in the Home2 Suites across the street.
I woke up every morning with a beautiful view of sunshine
on the Sanford Heart Hospital.

The Road to Recovery will be Long and Rough.
With plenty of Patience and Persistence,
Scott will be back in his Man Cave,
doing the things he enjoys.
