Mom spent her first night in the Odd Fellows Home.
I think she will grow to like her room.
They each have an assigned seat in the dining room.
Their meals are served family style.
When she went to dinner at 5:30,
I found myself downtown.
There are some sweet little shops...
Just right for browsing.
I didn't even feel like I needed to buy anything.
I just wanted to look...and forget about the work to do at mom's apartment.
There, don't you feel better already?!

What a neat shop you visited. I could see a few things there that I would like.
I am happy to hear your mom is adjusting well to her move. I know it can sometimes be difficult to leave the comfort of your home.

My heart just goes out to you and the changes that life brings us! I hope she does well in her new little home and makes some new friends!
My family is SO SO small now,,,,but I got to spend the afternoon with my Favorite cousin who lives here in Washington and her Darling Daughter now residing in the Boston Area,,,,but back "home" for a visit! We had a great day with retail therapy/lunch and Cupcakes!! Yuummm!!!

I hope your mom enjoys her new home. The store photos have some charming things in them.
I'm so glad she is doing well, I hope she gets all settled in. That shop looks dangerous..I would have bought tons of stuff!
Nothing better to get your mind off of things than piddling around a colorful store!
