Where Bloggers Create II ~ It's Party Time

My Crafting "Studio"...
It doubles as our guest room.
This is the brass bed that has been in our family for years.
A cozy little spot to curl up with a good book...
Maybe, a Vintage Cookbook?
And, did you notice the hand tatting on the wall behind the dresser?
My mom had that made especially for me
on my birthday several years ago.
My desk...
Would you like a closer look?
My sweet business card holder...
a birthday gift from my mother-in-law.
The crochet 'catch all'...
a wedding gift, 29 years ago.
My first counted cross stitch...
created in the 70's.
Who new that 30 years later that her name would be Callie,
and she would be such a faithful friend.
Yes, there's the trusty postal scale.
Baskets of supplies,
covered with Vintage linens.
My photo printer,
and sweet calicos...
providing inspiration for my next project.
That's my dad and I...50 years ago.
Happy Father's Day.
I miss you.
More baskets,
More Vintage books.
Serger Thread,
Important files.
These drawers contain buttons and other fasteners.
Would you like to see the rest of my buttons?

My sewing table is actually my Grandma's old treadle machine.
It is one of my favorite treasures.
I need to finish Dolly's clothes...
She is so modest.
And this mess?
I'll admit, I didn't have time to get everything organized.
Maybe in July...
I would like to thank
for organizing this fabulous party.

You'll want to visit her blog to find links
to nearly 500 artists
taking us into their creative spaces.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Take care,
~Natalie

Natalie,
I am originally from Mitchell and my husband is from Yankton...so I am South Dakota born and bred. We are now in St.Paul. I was admiring your room and your brass bad (we also have one...from the old family home in Huron). I love your room...it feels so homey...must be the SD in me!

My daughter is thirty and is in Mexico studying Spanish right now. She is also in school getting her MSW. We have a new blog and are three months old (in blog time). I didn't get the space cleaned but stop by sometime!

Your girls are just beautiful!

I enjoyed your tour of your crafting space. Mine has been thrown in a room untouched since Oct. 09. Yes, that long! This is my first free week because I quit work last week so guess what I've been doing FINALLY!! Yah! I'm actually excited to be cleaning and organizing in there although it is an overwhelming mess. Lol!

I love your area and all your personal touches. Thanks for the inspiration! In the past, my area only held supplies I needed. After reading your post and checking out your pictures, I've decided I need to surround myself with those personal touches. Thank you for this post. It couldn't have come at a better time my friend! =]

Meowllo Callie and Lucy!

Thank you for stopping by my studio fur a visit! Don't feel badly about still wandering around through the studios - I am still working on it too...there are soooo many! I mean one could get lost out there you know! Or find a good adventure!!!

I enjoyed my visit with you and of course got side tracked off into other posts! Of course that always happens when you find a good place to explore! Don't tell your mom....but that old brass bed looking so inviting and well I was a bit tired after my journey....it was just a little nap....and I cleaned up my cat fur off the quilt with one of those tape brushes....and I did give the bunny a smooch....she asked for one....what a nice girl! But don't tell anyone okay - remember cats aren't supposed to be friends with bunnies...especially ferocious cats such as myself....thanks again for being such purrfect tour guides!

Purrs!

Hi Natalie,
I'm still visiting creative spaces too! Thank you so much for visiting me and leaving your sweet comment... You know, since we put our Dandelion Workshop together, our daughter " and friends" have been much more creative! I'm so glad we did it together...your creative space is just charming... I also love reading about you and your mom and this phase of life for her. We too are managing our way through the " elder care" years and it can be such a challenge, but there are many blessings too...
Enjoy your mom... she looks like a dear lady! :)

Your creative space is amazing. It's so cozy and welcoming. Love the personal touches of family photos and that desk is adorable! I have a daybed in my studio so we can have an occasional house guest too. I often wonder if they get up in the middle of the night to create something while there are in there!! LOL!
