All Grown Up ~ Day 2

So, have I mentioned how much I enjoy visiting my adult children?! Emily has a hide-a-bed in her living room thanks to good friends, the Peltiers. Since this was her shorter class day, it was to be our longer shopping day.

We love to bargain shop, so imagine our delight when we discovered it was Crazy Days at the Mall. Don't you just love when stores take another half off the already marked down sale price?!!

To celebrate our good fortune, Emily treated me to a nice dinner at one of her favorite restaurants, DooLittles. She ordered the Fish Tacos and this Raspberry Smoothie...and check out my Thai Chicken Salad with Peanut Sauce. Yes, it was enough for two meals.

Our best purchases were items for Emily's apartment...the vase and silk flowers on her TV stand in the living room...

...the pillow for the free Lazy Boy recliner...remember the picture, lamps and mirror were our rummage sale finds from June...

...And this piece of pottery...just $5.99...looks perfect in the little gap between her desk and her closet.
Our oldest daughter has been traveling and not home long enough for a visit.
She doesn't know it yet...but we'd like to visit her in August...

How fun to have some great sales and spending the time with your daughter. Tell me...did you finish your dinner? That was huge!

I get to move our oldest into his new apartment in a couple of weeks. I'm wondering if the white board that was screwed into all of the walls with physics equations and NCAA basketball standings will be moved over also. Somehow I think so. No cute vases of flowers, lamps (the last place was like a cave - our electric bill is so small Mom, he said) or mirrors. I will just have to enjoy your pictures!!

Sounds like you had a great day.

You mentioned that you were hoping there would be lots of books in the comments section of my post today. Have a look now, I posted last night, due to blogger problems. There are lots of recommendations now.
