Coming down from our walking tour of the Ancient City Wall,
there was still plenty more to see at street level.
First we needed a moment to sit out of the sun,
with a bottle of water...
...and one of their local brews.
There was live jazz music around every corner.
Since I am a teacher, I was "taken with" this group of young students
patiently sitting on the steps, eating their sack lunches,
and waiting for their teacher's next instructions.
The architecture is beautiful, not only on the outside,
but on the inside, as well.
The way up looks steep...
...coming down is much easier.
We had certainly worked for our lunch...

After lunch, we rode the city bus back to our resort.
The view from my window...
gave me a peek into the everyday life
of the people that live in Croatia.
