Boston Winter ~Shopping the Holiday Market in the City Hall Plaza ~Thanksgiving Week in Boston

Celebrating the Holidays in Boston.

The wind was brisk, creating a chill in the air.
But a visit to this Winter Wonderland warmed my heart.

To get down to the heart of the city, it first
required driving the car, and finding a place to park.

And then securing passes to ride the T...
the orange line to be exact.

Boston Winter is a Festival with Arts and Crafts,
live music, and a beer and wine tasting tent.

It is outdoors, but the artists set up in their own
Cape Cod inspired wooden Chalet.
(Most artists had a space heater in their Chalet!)

A quick walk through a crowded Faneuil Hall Marketplace,

to see the official Boston Christmas Tree
in the Boston Common.
They were decorating the tree that day
in preparation for the official lighting a few days later.

It was a festive, fun trip downtown.
Thank you, Emily & Jake.

We rode the T back to Assembly Row Shopping Area.
The car was parked near there,
plus we wanted to check out some of those shops.

Bless his heart, Jake offered to collect the car,
go to the supermarket for a few groceries,
while Emily and I enjoyed some
mother/daughter shopping time.

He "scooped us up" here.
(What did we do before cell phones?)

Our drive home took us past the TD Garden.

We had homemade Turkey Vegetable Soup for supper...

...and we finished our puzzle that night.
A perfect ending to the Holiday Weekend.

Take care,
~Natalie
