When Family Comes to Visit ~Storybook Land is a Must-Do our Community

When our own daughters were young,
we went to Story Book Land at least three times a week.
There was the Storybook Land Theatre,
Story Time in the Castle,
and then we had to go out just to play.

That was over three decades ago.
And now, Storybook Land is Bigger and Better than ever.

Our first trip there this week, Papa came along.
We looked at all the attractions and recited the Nursery Rhymes.

Riding the Train is the Big Finale of a Trip to SBL.

Since Jack was a Baby we have taken a photo of him with
his Mama and the train.

And this year was no different,
except that now little brother is on the photo too!

Here We Go!

Then, the next morning, we were back again for the
Storybook Land Theatre Performance on the Castle Stage.

We all enjoyed the story of Cinderella and her Fairy Godfather.

Actually, I think Henry really enjoyed the play,
as he kept going back into the Castle and up on the Stage.

We enjoyed playing on some of the attractions,

Before opening our lunchboxes to see what Mama packed.

Then this happened…
Jack convinced me to ride the Roller Coaster with him.
I might have had even more fun then he did?!

Henry was too young to ride the Roller Coaster, so we chose
a more age-appropriate ride, and we all hopped on.

Here’s Jack and Gigi up front.
Jack was our train’s Engineer.

Henry and his Mama were in this car.
He was serving as our train’s Conductor.

Again, I’m not sure who had the most fun!?

Then before going home,
we rode the Story Book Land Express,
The finale.

Here’s Jack when he rode the
Storybook Land Train for the very First Time.

This was also the weekend of the Storybook Land Festival and
we had planned to spend the morning out there.
However, Rain Showers put a damper on that idea.
We aren’t afraid of a little rain,
but imagined that all the rides and attractions would be wet.

Bye Bye Storybook Land.
See you next time.

Take care,
~Natalie
