Only one phone call from Hubby to his College Buddy was all it took.
“Think we should get tickets for the Twins Game?”
And an impromptu trip to the cities was in the works.
It’s been an annual trip for the four of us for many years.
Our first stop was at Brick and Bourbon,
a favorite place for for a little pre-game beverage and lunch.
Creatures of habit, last year we ate here, sat in the same spot,
waiting until it was time to check into the same hotel.
And my order was even the same.
The Maple Pecan Endive Radicchio Salad.
That Maple Balsamic dressing is simply fabulous.
That’s Hubby’s Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad on the left.
We donned our Twins gear and made our way to Target Field.
There was a festive atmosphere in the Ball Park as many fans
were gathering to witness Joe Mauer’s induction
into the Twins Baseball Hall of Fame.
We watched a tribute to this Hometown boy’s career.
There’s a photo of him when he retired,
beside the photo of his first year in Little League.
Since it was difficult to see, we watched on the big screen.
Photo credits to the Minnesota Twins site for this one.
The morning after, Brunch and Shopping was our plan.
We ate at another favorite restaurant and I ordered
the exact same thing as last summer!
That smoked salmon and cream cheese spread is just so tasty.
Isn’t Kari’s Brunch pretty?
We all found good bargains at the Albertville Premium Outlet Mall,
drove through a rainstorm, stopped for a late afternoon break,
and Grandma got some baby cuddles,
all before our last leg of the trip.
Here’s a trip down Memory Lane…
We’ve had a lot of fun over the years.
It was a beautiful evening watching
the Sunset over the North Dakota Prairie.
Cherish the time you spend with Family and Friends.
Make sweet memories with those that you love.
Take care,
~Natalie
