Monday Mania ~Countdown to Winterfest ~12 Days ~Putting Things Together

It is time for a Progress Report.
With Winterfest less than two weeks away,
it is time to make finishing touches on my projects
and pack the items for the move downtown.

Our wooden pumpkins are stained and adorned with homespun.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
November’s decor needs plenty of pumpkins, pilgrims, and turkeys.

The mitten ornaments are also ready for someone’s tree.

Along with the fleece star Ornies.

This Santa now has a face.

Our helper cat provides good support,
even out in the noisy woodshop.

Spatter painting the Tins is a very messy job.
It is best done outside...and on a day with little or no breeze.
(Which doesn’t happen very often around here!)

We look forward to Winterfest Weekend.
The lights, music, good food, and creative gift ideas
will certainly get you in the mood for the holidays.

Stay tuned for more photos of our preparations.

Take care,
~Natalie

Countdown to Winterfest 2017 ~Two Days ~Our Pumpkin Patch

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving Week without a Pumpkin Patch.

What do you see when you look at this
stack of thrift store sweaters?

That's right...

Pumpkins.

Sweater sleeves, little twigs, and some homespun...

are a nice contrast to the
wooden pumpkins in our shop.

There are pumpkins of calico,

pumpkins of homespun,

and pumpkins of sweater knit.
They are all priced, packed and ready to go.
Stop by our Pumpkin Patch at Winterfest and say Hello.

We look forward to seeing you.

Take care,
~Natalie

TGIF ~~Countdown to Winterfest...1 day

Finally Friday...Winterfest Weekend is here!

While my hubby is amazing,
he still hasn't figured out how to be in two places at the same time.

Usually, we go downtown to set up for Winterfest on Friday after we both get home from work.
But this year, the jazz group was booked to play Happy Hour,
so hubby used some of his vacation hours to set up the display stands this afternoon.

So, when I got home from school,
we loaded up the tubs and moved the rest downtown.

Most of our items are unpacked and on the shelves...

We'll be back in the early morning to fine tune our displays.
Hubby has to finish the lighting,
and I have some corners that are a bit challenging.
10 feet x 10 feet is just not very big!

We are both looking forward to the weekend festivities
and visiting with all the folks that come through our booth.
Hope to see you there!

Take care,
~Natalie

An Early Thanksgiving Feast...

Do you all remember the fall display by our front entry?

Well, this week, something has enjoyed the refreshing nourishment of our pumpkin flesh.
The birds?  The squirrels??

Our 'watch cat' looks quite concerned...

If only she could talk...

Take care,
~Natalie

Happy Fall Y'All & Saturday's Work

We are experiencing the cool, crisp weather
of Autumn here in the Dakotas.

It stopped raining long enough for hubby to clean up the branches and leaves in the yard.
We shopped for our cornstalks and pumpkins,
and we also found this great wreath for our front entrance.

These fall wreaths adorn our garage.

I think Callie, our helper cat, approves.

(My Saturday's Work was not really work this week,
since I still  can't  lift anything heavier than a pencil.)

Hubby and I went to the storage shed to bring back
the tub of fall decor.
The wreath for our bannister...

Cheerful calico & homespun pumpkins...

Warm & cozy afghan...

Ceramic gourds...

The garland for our table...

It was actually more play than work!

Enjoy the rich, warm colors of fall.

Take care,
~Natalie

Where the Week Went ~Yes, That is The Sanford Heart Hospital

It has been ten days since Hubby had a heart attack. We have much gratitude for the EMTs, his Primary Care Physician, his Cardiologist, and ...
