I have tried to make this room as pleasant as possible with some laundry room art(?) You need to take a closer look at the B&W photo. That little girl is actually me...50 years ago. I was hanging my doll clothes on the barbed wire fence while my mom was hanging the wash out on her clothes line. My facial expression looks like I take my work very seriously. And the dried grass...it appears to be one of the hot, hot days of summer. And no...no such thing as AC in an old farmhouse in the 1950s.
So, here is the dreaded laundry room. Starting on the right, going counter clockwise, the deep freezer, followed by the dryer, then the washer, a clothes drying rack, some storage shelves, the water heater, the furnace, more storage shelves, the chimney and hidden from view on the left...the cats' litter box.

I just love that photo of you doing your "work". How sweet! And I have the same vintage tin of the girl hanging up her doll and clothes in my laundry room. :)
That black/white picture is wonderful!!!! I have a thing for appliances, so I have a thing for laundry rooms too. We did a large addition on our house about 6 years ago and I got the best laundry room ever. I love it. You did a great job cleaning up and doing what you can in a tight spot, that makes the work go a bit better. The cat food...this is so funny. Mine do this too and I have to put the food INSIDE a cabinet to keep them out of it. They even like the dog food!!! Piggies.
Natalie, your laundry room is nicer than mine! Mine is in our "dungeon" and it truly is a blah place! I love that photo of you; so neat to have and display!

Great job on the laundry room. Hard to find fun in cleaning a room that just isn't much fun. The ct food is so funny. My son had a cat and she was a free spirit just like him. She would come and go as she please. He left an open bag of cat food on the basement floor for her so she could eat whenever she decided to come home!! She never even had a dish! HA!
I'm impressed with all the cleaning, Natalie! Won't it be great to start the school year with the house in perfect shape!
That photo of you is so adorable. What a neat momento to have!!! Your kitties are probably going to tell you that the bag came that way!!!

Phew, I'm tuckered out just from reading about all this cleaning. You'll be happy to go back to work won't you? HEE
Nice Blog!! Spacify offers storage shelves which can be used alone as a place to keep your books and more.
