What'cha Workin' on Wednesday ~How this Teacher Spends her Summer ~~Cleaning our House, Room by Room ~~~The Living Room

With two cats and hundreds of dust bunnies,
I look forward to the summer when I can clean each room in our house...
side to side and top to bottom.

Brushed, Dusted, and Vacuumed...
time to put it all back together.

Where's Callie?

I had it finished in time to host a summer PEO meeting.

I do have a new portrait to hang over our piano...
just waiting for hubby to have some time!

Would you like to see a little more?

Yes...I do have a thing for Teddy Bears.

And yes, I do have an obsession for vintage dress forms.

I love, love, love, vintage books.

The coffee table centerpiece needed a little love.
I added the tall vases in between the hydrangeas.
This one with a decorative ball mix!

This one with balls of twine.

And this one with wine bottle corks.

We all hoped you enjoyed this little tour.

Take care,
~Natalie

Special Olympics Scarf Project 2012

As South Dakota's deadline nears,
our knitting club gathered to make finishing touches on our scarves.
There was some last minute knitting...
fingers were flying...

And, of course,
lots of picture taking!

Thanks to these lovely young women
for donating their time and talent to this project.

And thanks to their moms, a retired teacher, and an school EA,
We have 14 scarves packaged up to send with Mrs. Schmitz.

The rest will go in the mail next week.

Take care,
~Natalie

p.s. The girls are already asking when the 2013 colors will be announced!

TGIF and my Highlight of the Week

I look forward to Fridays, as I get to spend my lunch with these sweet young ladies.
They are the charter members of our high school knitting club.

While some are experienced, others are just learning the basic stitches...
but together we are focused on a common goal.

And, that is to create scarves to donate to the

If you knit or crochet, you should check out the link.
South Dakota needs 900 scarves...they have received 250.

Every state has a need....
so...join us by knitting...
crocheting...
or maybe, just donate some funds for yarn.

It's a wonderful project.
I'd love to see some photos of what you are doing in your communities.

Take care,
~Natalie
