The Cornhusker State ~ Visit the Capital City

Our Amy began her tenure as a Nebraska college student in 2003...
And we have throughly enjoyed being a Husker fan and visiting her in the city of Lincoln.
Our visits to Lincoln have usually been on weekends and on holidays...so we have not had the opportunity to tour the State Capitol Building...until now...
If your summer vacation takes you across the Midwest, plan to spend an extra day in Lincoln.
You won't regret it.
(And no one is paying me to say this!)
The building is breathtaking!

While we had chosen to take a self-guided tour,
It was a school day, and it must have been fifth grade visitation day.
The tour was very...very interesting.
We stopped occasionally to eavesdrop!
We enjoyed our Friday morning visit to the Capitol building...
...Perhaps our last visit to Lincoln??

From our first visit...to the last...
We have so enjoyed visiting the city of Lincoln.

Take care,
~Natalie

Natalie, such sweet comments about our Capital city here in Nebraska! The last time I have been through the capital building was when my kids were in grade school and that was probably about 20 years ago!!! But it was beautiful back then also!! Thanks for the photos. Oh, and you still need to cheer the Huskers on, especially since they are in a new conference this year...Big 10! Have a great evening!!
