Thanksgiving Week in Boston ~Weekend Side Trip, continued ~Scenic Drive up the Coast ~An Evening in Portsmouth, NH

When you have lived in the Dakotas your whole life,
it is always a thrill to see the ocean.

The seagulls seem pretty friendly...

...but when they realize that you are not offering snacks,
they move on.

Back in the car,
we drove the scenic route (not the google maps fastest route)
and saw some magnificent mansions.

And we saw several cabins to rent for your vacation get-away.

Portsmouth is a quaint little community on the coast.

It wasn't long before the sun was down...
which only added to the charm.

The streets are lined with great little boutiques.
We enjoyed some window shopping,
along with some serious gift shopping.

Another "must" when visitiing Portsmouth,
is a visit to one of their local pubs.
The Thirsty Moose was warm and inviting...

So, of course, we ordered one of their brews.

It was here that we ordered a cup of Clam Chowder...
perhaps the best clam chowder that I have ever tasted!

Thank you, Emily and Jake,
for this awesome weekend day trip.

Take care,
~Natalie
