These little guys and their Mama & Daddy spent four days with us
before saying goodbye and going home for work and school.
When they travel to the Midwest,
they split their vacation time with us and the family in Minnesota.
These two, however, were able to stay for an extra week.
Since their business is online, they can work wherever there’s WiFi.
We checked a few more boxes off on their Hometown Bucket List.
One was to visit a Brewery here.
We all enjoyed a brew at The One Legged Pheasant.
Also on their List was to go to a Hometown Dive Bar…
so the Circus was our next stop.
The next evening was our Downtown Association’s
last Outdoor Concert of the Season.
These vendors know how to attract attention to their booth.
It was so nice to catch up with this young woman,
a former student of mine. Imagine my delight when
we discovered that we were also Sorority Sisters.
It’s traditional for alumni to watch the
Homecoming Parade in front of the House.
We were so surprised to see each other there.
It was a beautiful evening out on the Plaza.
The Band was called Bon Journey,
playing the familiar hits of Bon Jovi and Journey.
The Market Bar is a great place to order
a beverage and some tasty snacks.
It was a busy weekend downtown, as the next evening
Main Street remained blocked off for the
Sizzling Summer Nights Car and Bike Show.
Several Blocks were lined with
beautifully restored vehicles.
Auto Enthusiasts of all ages were there to appreciate the classics.
It was difficult to choose a favorite.
It is certainly going to be
quiet around here once everyone goes home.
Take care,
~Natalie
