It was the Season Opener for Bison Football.
Hubby snagged some tickets for us,
so we planned a Weekend Trip into Minneapolis.
Here’s how we got there…
Three stops to get out of the car to stretch, and get some steps.
Finally, we reached the hotel, our home-away-from-home
for the weekend.
We freshened up a bit and were off to the Chanhassen Theatre.
We had tickets for a show in the Concert Venue.
We enjoyed a bite to eat in Brindisi’s Pub.
This Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread was tasty
and perfect for sharing.
Plus then, we had room to share a little dessert, too.
The Turtle Cheesecake.
We enjoyed the Music by Xpedition,
A Tribute Band playing tunes by Journey,
Styx, Kansas, and Foreigner.
We were up and out early to drive downtown, as
The Pre-Game Festivities started at 9:30am.
There was a sea of Bison Fans inside,
And outside at the Longhorn Pavilion.
All those people, and we still ran into one of my college best friends.
That was definitely one of my Weekend Highlights,
visiting with Cathy and her nephew, Christopher.
Inside the US Bank Stadium,
Hubby and I shared the Chicken Tenders and Fries for lunch.
Our seats were in Row One.
Yep, 72 steps down to the front row.
It was awesome.
It felt like we were practically on the field.
Those cheerleaders…
I enjoyed watching them nearly as much as the game!
Shopping was our plan for Sunday.
With record setting heat in Minneapolis.
An activity with Air Conditioning was most appealing.
Shopping highlights included:
Being greeted by the PetSmart Rodents when we stopped
to purchase treats for Lizzie.
Rockler had the Woodturning Blade that Hubby Needed.
A sea of shoes at DSW, but nothing that we needed. And pants, in my size, on Clearance for $9.98.
We have a new favorite place to eat.
My Trip Reports usually include at least one Bridge Photo.
One last sweet treat for the road.
And a stunning Dakota Sunset to end our Journey.
I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day
with someone you love.
Take care,
~Natalie
