What’cha Workin’ on Wednesday ~Here’s my Pre-Travel Report

If you have known me for a while,
you know that I have a workout routine at home.
So, I got some early morning steps in.
Notice Lizzie, my personal trainer providing encouragement
from her favorite chair in the family room.

My friends on the Today show,
keep me up to date in all that is happening around the world.

Of course, on the days I am the busiest,
those are the mornings that my Personal Trainer
wants some pre-work out snuggles on my lap.

About halfway through my walk on the treadmill,
she gets bored...and who can blame her.
If it weren’t for Savannah, Hoda,
Craig, and Carson, I’d be bored too.

Since hubby was working out of town,
I put a coat on over my pajamas
and got the garbage out to the street.

There were some tasks to take finish
for PEO and Delta Kappa Gamma.
This was also a good time to make sure
all of my electronics were fully charged.

Then I went out and about for some last minute appointments.
Thanks, Diane, for a little pampering.

We are celebrating two family Birthdays in March,
so a quick stop to pick up gifts that Grandma/Great Grandma
wanted me to tuck in my suitcase.

This photo is worth a thousand words...

Back home to zip up my luggage and check the weight.
It turns out I had three pounds to spare!

After my Helper Cat and I made sure things were tidy...

...It was time for a little relaxation by the heat register
and wait for Hubby to come home!

Take care,
~Natalie

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of Year ~Christmas 2019 ~Now a Memory ~How We Spent Our Mornings

Like most families, after breakfast,
we all just hung out together...in our pajamas.

Our time together was short,
so we made the most of every minute.

A family friend let us borrow this tub of Legos for the week.
I’m not sure who had the most fun...
Was it Little Jack?

Or was it Uncle Jake??

Or perhaps it was Lizzie? Do you see how
she’d like to get in there to play, too?

So they constructed a Cat Mobile.
Her inverted hut provided a seat for her to ride.

A good time was had by all...

Take care,
~Natalie

Looking for the Blog Worthy ~It’s Been Nine Days Since my Last Post

My days have all been the same...
Physical Therapy, House Chores, Crafting

When I haven’t posted to my blog for a while,
I look at my camera to see what photos I’ve taken...
and then, I know where my time has gone.
Most of the photos are of our cat and
of what we’ve prepared for dinner.

We’ve had plenty of rain here in this neck of the woods.
Our plants out front are thriving!

There have been a few breaks in the wet weather,
enough for Hubby to grill something for dinner.

I graduated from Physical Therapy this week.

We enjoyed some live jazz music at The Ward.
Always a great way to kick off the weekend.

Saturday is Bison Game Day.
This week our Football Food was Super Nachos.
As you know, I like to make our own Taco Seasoning,
so I can limit the amount of salt in my diet.

Aren’t the spice colors pretty?!

OMG, Lizzie, GET DOWN!

I had my back turned while I mixed up the taco seasoning.
I have never seen her do this before...and I hope I never see it again!

So...I saved the Taco Meat,
and we enjoyed Nachos with all our favorite toppings.

Here’s Lizzie staying calm and watching the game with Scott.

Another weekend highlight was
a little FaceTime with Amy and Jack.

Hubby has perfected our Sunday Brunch of
Hash Browns
Bacon
Egg and Toast

Then, just like that, the weekend’s over,
and it’s another week of the same routine.
I hope this finds you all dong well.

Make your life Blog Worthy!

Take care,
~Natalie

A Teacher's Work is Never Done and Reflecting on my Health Report

It's Week Two of our Summer Break here.
Only a few tasks remain on my list to finish up the year.
The school can be an eerie place at night, don't you agree?!

The weekend brought us much needed rain on Saturday...

...and beautiful sunshine on Sunday!

I am also taking care of the necessary annual doctors' appointments.

How convenient to have an espresso station in the lobby,
right across from the lab.
It's a much needed fix after fasting blood work!

Test results can now be viewed on-line.
My PA was concerned as some of my numbers were too high,
and others were too low.

I didn't take this news very well.
I was expecting to have a better report.

For 10 months, I have worked hard to lose weight,
exercise more, and eat smaller portions.
Hello,
I'm the one that orders a side of steamed vegetables for my dinner when we go out to eat.

I often quote my favorite college nutrition teacher, Dr. Susan Crockett,
"You can't choose your ancestors."

So, I have done much thinking in the last few days...
I guess, if I didn't try to live a health lifestyle,
my numbers would probably be off the charts??

So...folks,
keep up with your exercise routine,
think about what, and how much you are eating,
Reduce the risk of those debilitating heath issues that run in your family.

Have a terrific Tuesday.

Take care,
~Natalie

Tuesday = The Biggest Loser & Weight Loss Tips of the Day

So...who else is watching The Biggest Loser?
It is on..right..now..

To be successful,
one must combine diet with exercise.

Lifestyle change – Permanent weight loss is not something that a “quick-fix” diet can achieve. Instead, think about weight loss as a permanent lifestyle change. Make a commitment to your health for life. Various popular diets can help to jump-start your weight loss, but permanent changes in your lifestyle and food choices are what will work long term.
Read more here.

Start a Workout Routine - It only takes 30 minutes a day to get your metabolism into a higher gear and start burning more calories. You can even break that 30 minutes up into two 15 minute routines or three 10 minute routines.
Read more here.

Check out this online Stopwatch...
...This is what I am using during my workout routine.
(I hope my personal trainer is impressed!)

I just wanted to finish stitching this little Valentine today.
I'm heading over to list it in my Etsy shop now.

Take care,
~Natalie

The Biggest Loser & My Personal Trainer

A new season begins tonight...
...and I'll be tuned in.
I appreciate how the contestants lose weight the healthy way...
...No fancy gimmicks.
They practice portion control in their diet...
...and they exercise.

Speaking of certified personal trainers...
Remember, I have one living under my roof this week.

In fact, her official certificate arrived in yesterday's mail.
ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist
This was perhaps just as exciting
as her diploma will be?

Well, she has wasted no time in putting her expertise to good use...

I have my own personal workout plan...
...and it is now part of my after-school routine.

I feel better already!
I hope you all have exercise built into your lifestyle.

Take care,
~Natalie
