Spending Time with Family ~Days Two & Three ~Patio Party ~Spring Program ~A Special Nanny

Congratulations to our family’s Nanny, as she was accepted
into Nursing School. We are all very happy for her.
However, that means she will begin classes and
no longer available to care for the boys during the day.
Her last day was Friday…the summer nanny
can’t start until the school year ends.

Since I was missing our grandsons and wanted to visit the family,
we timed my trip so I could be here to fill in the child care gap.

I wanted to spend time at the house to watch and learn
the daily routine from Nanny Arri…
But also give them some time together…alone.

So one afternoon, I spent an hour here…and now my feet are
Summer Sandal Ready!

The boys love Arri and it’s obvious she loves them, too.
When Mama came home, we had a little party with snacks
on the patio and a special gift for her…
Appropriately wrapped with Monster Truck paper.

Inside, some lovely hoop earrings, and they look so pretty on her.

The boys will miss her, but will still be able to see her for
an occasional weekend outing.

Our Patio Party continued with a few lessons
on swinging a golf club.

The whole family got up early the next morning
as it was Spring Program Day.

Arri and Henry have spent their days together
since he was five months old.

We all went to watch Big Brother Jack,
our “Rock Star”.

See our “Rock Star” pointing?
We could clearly hear him say “There’s my Daddy!”

When it was time to perform, he lived up to his Rock Star status.

After their fourth and final song, the children
greeted their families with hugs.

Henry is proud of his Big Brother.
“Let’s go home and have some lunch and play.”

Followed by some Quiet Time with a
couple of good books.

There were a few tears when Arri
left on her last day.

I couldn’t help but think about one of the last scenes in the
This Is Us finale…

“If something makes you sad when it ends,
it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening”
#ThisIsUsFinalChapter

Arri, it was a pleasure to meet you.
Best of luck as you begin this next exciting chapter in your life.

Take care,
~Natalie
