Spending Time with Family ~Holiday Weekend Road Trip ~The Top of The Rock

My family knows that one of my dream vacation destinations is
New York City. Amy said this is our
perfect opportunity to go.

After all, Massachusetts is within driving distance.
We were all in the car early.
Jack was very serious about this,
“We are going to The City”.

Henry was just happy to be going somewhere with
the whole family in the car.

I wanted to sit in the backseat between the two car seats,
I had to be the first one in and the first one out of the car.
Amy offered to ride there, however she is a more qualified co-pilot…
Helping with navigation,
 purchasing tickets for attractions,
securing subway passes,
searching for restaurants,
and much more.

After a couple of hours, our feet were on the ground in NYC.
“Give me a Five!”

We were able to leave our vehicle parked near our Airbnb and
walk to this little place for lunch in Astoria.

Bareburger is known for serving the best burgers in the area.
Amy & I shared this one and had plenty to eat.

sweet dreams
sweet potato, kale & wild rice, organic alfalfa,
avocado, organic baby spinach, organic cucumber,
organic red onions, organic tomatoes,
green goddess, sprout bun

Not sure who was more excited to ride the “train”…
The boys or this Gigi?

The stroller built for two came with us everywhere.
If the Subway was crowded,
Nick broke it down and we each carried a piece.

The New York Public Library…
Do you see Jack and Gigi?

We’re right there! Jack says
“This is a lot of steps”

Next stop The Rockefeller Plaza.

I couldn’t believe I was actually here…

For many years, these Today Show friends have kept me company
while I do my Morning Kitchen Chores.
Hoda, Al, Savannah, Dylan, and Craig.

Of course they weren’t there when we were, as it was a Saturday afternoon.
(That’s a google photo.)

Amy, Jack, and I took the tour, while Daddy
took little brother for a walk and hopefully fall asleep.

Here is the view from the 67th floor of The Rock.
If you look closely, you can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance.
We’re going there the next day!

Here is the view of Central Park on the other side.

If I had a Bucket List, this would be one big check!

Back down on ground level, there are restaurants and shops.
Jack picked out a cookie to share with his brother.

No, Henry did not have a nap…
there was too much to see and do in the city.

That Chocolate Chip Cookie was amazing!

The Rockefeller Plaza was amazing!!

Stay tuned for more about our Weekend in the City.

Take care,
~Natalie
