This Weekend’s Report ~Saturday’s Work ~Sunday’s Stitching and Sewing

Weekends are for Hanging out at Home.
Enjoying time with family,
Running Errands,
And Tackling those House Chores.

Winter is obviously here to stay.
So it was time to pack up the Flowers…

…and replace them with Snowmen.
With Hubby’s help, we got that job done.
He did all the heavy lifting
While I packed and unpacked the new season’s dishes.

Here’s what nine weeks of dust looks like.
It felt good to accomplish that task.

Took a break from cleaning, to prepare our Foodball Food.
This Pizza Loaf is fast and easy.
Purchase a loaf of Sourdough Bread,
Something with a coarse, dense crumb.
Spray aluminum foil,
enough to entirely wrap your loaf.

Perhaps you already have the other ingredients on hand,
Butter, Italian Seasoning, Pepperoni, and Mozzarella Cheese.

Cut diagonal slits into the loaf,
careful to not cut all the way through the bottom.
Fill the slits with the melted butter and seasoning.
pepperoni and cheese.

Wrap it up and place in the oven for 20 minutes.

I opened it and turned on the broiler just long enough
to toast the top.

We think Lizzie approves.

It was wonderful to see some sunshine,
On Sunday, Lizzie took her spot on my sewing counter
to watch over our neighborhood.

Who remembers that I worked on these
in the car while we were on our Summer Road Trip?

I had finished them after we got home,
All except for the hand stitching.
My fingers feel a little clumsy,
but they are finished and ready for their Forever Home.

And who remembers this gift of raw wood from
Hubby’s Woodturning Friend.

I hinted that I’d like to use it on Thanksgiving,
So Hubby spent time in his Woodshop to
‘Git ‘Er Done”

Thank you, Brum and Hubby,
It’s beautiful.

With Hubby busy in the shop,
I put soup in the crockpot.
Potatoes, Celery, Carrots, and Onion.

Slow Cook in Chicken Broth.

After 3 hours, cook the Bacon, prepare the Roux,
add the Liquid, and Cheddar Cheese.

Either Mash the Vegetables or use an Immersion Blender.

Garnish with Green Onion.
Sooo Tasty!

What’s on Joelle’s Menu?
Her first taste of Oatmeal Cereal.

Take care,
~Natalie
